^^btw, the drive used to be my 60gb xbox drive but took it out since I soft modded because it wasn't lockable, now I need the files from it

Nevermind, I finally found XBoxHDM, an absolute godsend.  It supported the F partition a lot better allowed me to browse files with xbrowser and do everything I needed, in a graphical interface even.
