Wow, I've read a couple things about this before.  The video looks amazing though, looks like you can do allot with this game.  I might check it out at some point if i remember, my friend is using my xbox right now but i think i might ask for it back to use as a media center for x264 vids.  Hopefully there is another news article when this is out, I'm sure there will be.
    Good work!

Good luck with that.

The xbox cannot even handle 720p.

I'll bet it will wip the pants of most other games out there in gameing experiance. Is it just me or are more looking at games from 80-90's and say "shit those games was fun!"

From my understanding it will do 1080i with the vga mod and bios.  I may be wrong though.

Xbox 1 does 720p and 1080i just fine over Component or VGA.  For a game like this, it probably would function fine as well.  I run XBMC in these resolutions all the time.  Most retail games don't handle these resolutions do to memory issues.

Right on, thanks, i was mainly hoping for 720p/1080i for movies. The only games i will play are probably be emulators and stuff like this.

Ever tried to run a High-Def video in XBMC though?  Just black screen, it just doesn't have the memory or power.

Why must people confuse output resolutions, to playing a media's native resolution?

He was not referring to what resolution the xbox will OUTPUT with, he was talking about what resolution video the xbox will PLAY. The xbox 1 does not have enough cpu to process a 720p or 1080i native video.

Can you play 480p native and output to 720p? Sure, but that wont make the video look much better.

Also, from Michael Schaffer ...

There won't be support in 1.8, but there is definately talk about it for 2.0.  If/when networking support were added, system link wouldn't be too much of a jump for the xbox version.

You can play native 720p in XBMC, but's it's codec/player dependant. Most people seem to have best results with Xvid + MP3 audio + DVDPlayer, never quite caught the bitrates...

Certainly don't bet on it working if you don't know how to re-encode video.
