I know DoomX is already out, but my friends and I like playing PrBoom over LAN, and having a native Xbox port would be really awesome. Or instead, how difficult would it be to allow DoomX to support PrBoom's networked servers?
I played my first system link game of DoomX recently and it was really awesome, nicely done Carcharius. However, we have a few PCs in the house and having PrBoom on my Xbox too, we could have a nice LAN party.
I thought about trying to install PrBoom in DSL, but 3 problems. First, the controller wouldn't function that great, and my xbox=>USB cable is busted, so no keyboard/mouse support. Second, I am not familiar with the Debian (linux in general) way of installing programs (I only know those .dsl extensions). Third, my TV uses component video inputs, but not HDTV/EDTV, so Cromwell is incompatible with it and S-Video doesn't look as sharp.
