I want to hook up some roms on my xbox, i have found all the emulators i need and i think i have found a reliable source for roms but none that i have tried have worked.  is there a special type of rom for xbox?  I realize you need the correct emu for each game you play.  I was looking at some mame games and i put "mameox" on my xbox and i downloaded some zip files from just a "mame" site... are they supposed to work?  thanks

No,they need to be compiled binaries. Check the tuts section for a tut on x bins and follow that.
