ATTENTION:

The XBE on xbins is not the correct one. Please DO NOT download v2.1 until the archive has been re-uploaded.

Sorry.

Okay.

The archive with the correct XBE has been uploaded. If you downloaded v2.1 prior to reading this then please re-download it.

I would've just edited my post above but the 'Edit' button seems to have vanished for some reason. >_<

Probably not possible but can we add custom soundtrack..(WMA or Mp3 ?
(i have the enchanced version of the music )

I think the only way to do that i will need to open the WAD and put my custom MIDI file but not a WMA.. the engine of doom read only midi file ;-)

Thx

help

V2.1 Beta is the best version by far but
when I play doomII and I pickup or choose a chainsaw I am unable to change weapons back to any of the guns

so I went back to V2.0 Beta and it does not have this problem on doomII

you said 'Chainsaw now replaces fists as in PC Doom'

can you tell me how to change this back to how it was in V2.0 Beta ?

Regard Tekno.

Redownload the distribution.

When Likklebaer said the wrong xbe was included this is what she meant.

I accidentally packaged up a development xbe which didn't have the final tweaks.

Completely my fault! I was having a sstupid 5 minutes!!

If you download the ackage again and use the xbe from there then everything will be peachy.

I'd love to try a few tweaks to Duke 3D-X. But lantus to my knowledge hasn't released the sourcecode (or at least not on xbins). I've also made some nice little improvements to ROTT-X, but the only source on xbins is v1.0 (without the music support) so that's kind of at a dead end ATM too >_<

I've tried contacting lantus to ask nicely for the ROTT v1.2 source but I guess he doesn't bother checking PMs/E-Mails from X-S since I'm sure they're mostly from morons with Surreal v2 questions.

I'm pretty sure Lantus is dead, I've tried to E-mail him, and contact him in his own forums, and not a peep. Think it has something to do with a Lawn Mower accident.

I'm just downloading 2.1 now, thanks for your work, C and L. Doom is still one of the best games ever, and thanks to you two and Lantus, the XBox has a way of playing such a brilliant game (I just don't understand why ID didn't release a Doom trilogy set for the XBox, as well as a Quake trilogy collection, they'd sell millions...).

>likkelaber do yuo think you could possibly start to work on duke 3d becasue its in need of some touch ups and is a great game

I hope you can get to work on Duke Nukem, as it is a great game (I always prefered it to Doom), and if you add a "reverse Y-axis" option, and a way to use add on levels, along with your usual touches, then DN3D will be a superb addition to the XBox's first person shooter ranks.

Anyway, thanks again to all involved for Doom-X  :)

I'm not going to be doing anything to Duke 3D-X without the sourcecode. And I'd want the ROTT-X v1.2 source before I even think about anything else.

So if any of you come across lantus before I do then I'd be grateful if you'd ask him if he'd be kind enough to share some of these missing sourcecodes.

Great version,

Doom II works fine on the chainsaw now.

Thanks to you both. I think I am in love!.

Is there anyway to enter the cheats as in the pc version?
which is done as follows

"During play, type these codes with the keyboard.

'iddqd'  (God mode)
'idkfa'   (full ammo, 200% armor, all weapons)
'iddt'     Toggles Automap between normal, full, and full with objects
(enter when looking at the Automap)

a message should be displayed at the top of the screen
to confirm which cheat mode was activated."

regards Tekno.
