hey so i got the new release and i noticed this problem with the previous version so i thought i would bring it to your attention. i think it's just the scaling of the proggram. check out the circled corners for a better description, as you can see, info is getting cut off. also the msg text at the top doesn't show up.

but as you can see i didn't have 00 of ammo for the shotgun, i had 100. hope this helps. and i was playing on the default resolution for doom. i dont see the need in playing the other one.

:popcorn:

another thing i was wondering, i know you dont like cheat codes but some of them would be nice to have like the change level one (if i wanna play the wolfenstein levels because i have no idea how to get to them in doom 2 i think i actually found lv 31 once in my whole life) the change music code and maybe the idbehold menu since the black and white buttons aren't being used you could just use those to scroll through the cheats....

This problem can be fixed with these 2 functions :
SDL_XBOX_SetScreenPosition()
SDL_XBOX_SetScreenStretch()

I just have a quick question: Do I have to burn the game to CD in order to run it? I tried copying it over to the hard-drive through FTP but when I load up the game, it freezes at the screen where it asks you to choose your resolution type. Can anyone help?

freakdave thanks but the graphics code doesn't use SDL. I prefer to do those things myself.

This problem is dependant on an individual TV. Different Tv's will miss/show different amounts of the screen.

For example my tv hardly misses anything and all of the relevant information is shown.

Some form of adjustment for this will probably make it into a future version.

As for the control setup - currently there is no way to adjust it, so for now you will have to put up with the setup Likklebaer decided was best - it's all her fault!!  ;)

I'm afraid that's a problem with your TV. The overscan is set way too high. This can usually be adjusted in the TV's service menu. But my TV shows everything that yours is cutting off.

Just to clarify, Doom-X only uses SDL code for the music ATM.

The controls are extremely easy to edit in the sourcecode if that's an option for you. But there are no plans to alter the current control setup.

It should run just fine from HDD. Make sure you've read the readme.txt and have all the required files set up correctly.

EDIT: Damn you Carch beating me to the Add Reply button!   :P

I hope we see network support (co-op will be so fun!) and homemade wad support in the future!? Also  keep up the good work and thank you, me and my friends enjoy this port very much!
