Mcdonald's.... The Atari 2600 Protype
« on: July 02, 2009, 08:16:00 AM »

The "Win a Million Dollars" McDonald's flimsy record insert in the local paper back when I was playing Video Pinball for five minutes before being carted off to school and coming up with ways to convince my parents that I was sick so I could stay home and keep playing.

WHO WILL WIN THIS COMPLETELY INCONSEQUENTIAL BATTLE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO INFLUENCE ON ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

McD vs. McD.... Who's the McDickliest?

Btw.... this totally works in the 2600 emulator when you convert it.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Nah... it's not if you managed to sing it through.  Funny though, because when me and my younger bros were kids we memorized it thinking that the first person to go to a McDonald's and sing it would win a million.  Dumb kids....

Only one record had the class sing through the whole song and that was the million dollar winner.  The story went that the winner actually threw it away with the paper but the son dug in the trash for it and got the million bucks.

As for the Atari 2600 McDonald's prototype.... not even playable.  You play it in the emu and all you see are the golden arches I put in the video.  I thought about making a vid like that for the useless rom about a year ago and finally decided to do it.  It only took me about 2 hours to find a program to do it that made it simple.

EDIT:  It's kinda like my "Easter Egg" footprint on the Xtras.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I googled around and found this.

I'm still not entirely sure what all the "battle" business was about, but I think I have some idea what you've done now.  tongue.gif

Only one of the many Easter eggs you'll find sprawled among the Xtras releases smile.gif

Sadly... this should have been, but isn't included:
