well ok I loaded the 007 save file onto the xbox hd using xlinux... now i havent yet soldered the points that I have to, but... I tried booting AUF and it tells me that my xbox needs service? if I solder, will I get around that?

ughh lol... the game wont boot. i even deleted the save file.. i soldered the jumpers. all my other games boot except this one (AUF)

all the jumpers do is control bios flash on/off your getting that because m$ sees a hacked save

you need to delete the save and copy it over whil auf 007 is running

do this like this:
USING XLINUX FIRST, DELETE ALL OF UDATA

PartA: on xbox
1:first erase the 007 save from the xbox
2:boot the game, its not booting because of the hacked save
3:DONT TURN OFF CONSOLE FROM THIS POINT
PartB: on pc
1:do swap trick and start xlinux from xbins
2:make sure linux detected the drive
3:copy save files over while auf is running with no hd
4:after copying, make sure to unmount it, u have to unmount it
PartA1: on xbox
4:plug hd back into xbox with save on hd and auf running
5:load game

Some versions of game will not start with that hacked save, so you have to copy it over after the game looks for it, happened with me it was a bitch

Ouch that was downright painful.

The easy way is to load the AUF save into a memory card.

Boot the game, then insert the memory card while the game is running.

Now load the save and flash away.

Simple, no drive removal or hot swapping required.

how about usb zip drive?

i remember long time ago, someone said, the xbox will see the usb zip as memory card?

can i load the save from usb zip?

yea true very simple... only thing is.. I dont have a mega-x key or a mem card so ehh

having a hard tiime with the setup, used the hot swap no problem here, but after that i don't know what to do. i have the xlinux1.2c, burned the iso to a cr. but whats next. I also have slayers auto installer but don't really now what to do with it. I know very little about linux .

I think you are supposed to run xlinux while hot swaping. After that you should follow this: tutorial

You can skip step 1 to 10.
