QUOTE (freedheroin @ Apr 30 2003, 04:06 AM)
this is boggy...im a "noobie" on this stuff so pardon me for lame questions like this...where's the "vcc" point in the box mobo, when i look at the link the first pic has it on an eprom or the flashrom...do ineed to purchase these electronic parts?....

no no no. the diagrams are for you purchasing those parts, if you're making your own modchip (old one). the point is that the pinouts on the chip give specific numbers, which you look up on the board and the red arrow points to where it is on the board. so you look on the chip pinouts and it says Vcc and 32. so then you know that Vcc is point 32 on the diagram. that's what you attach to one outside pole of the spdt siwitch. then you look for GND and then you look on the diagram and you find point 16. that's your GND, attach that to the other outsie pole of the switch. Then you look for point whatever.. what's a19. so you attach that to the middle pole.

that's all you need to do.

you only need to buy a spdt switch and some wire.

Can someone tell me how to make a multibios for the SPDT switch?   like: MS + MS + 4796.02 + 4796.02     I notice the original MS bios is already 1024k.   Do I need to reduce the size?      beerchug.gif

you can get a proper 256k image from xbins
or you can take a backup bios of yours (make a copy of course)
open it in the X2 Bios manager and just remove the last 2 banks...
i assume this would work i havent tried it myself but
there is another way

Here

Thanks craigncheri!  My xbox is revived thanks to you!  I thought I would never see the living day of playing xblive or PSO but now I will buy and play that game ever indebted to you.  Your instructions were perfect to the tee!  Thanks again.

sorry to jump off topic a bit...

could you not create a 1mb bios and use the telnet/007 technique to reflash the tsop again with the new bios?

i was just wondering because of the switch if it's selection one half or the other... so in either case just make another 1 mb bios and flash thru evoX?
