Upgraded Hard Drive 300 Gig
« on: May 04, 2005, 02:59:00 AM »

I've spent hours upon hours reading and testing, I just can't figure it out, I need help, or at least pointed in the right direction.  I've ftp'd evox bios M8 plus and evox dasboard, edited the .ini - did all the fun stuff, but one thing isn't working right.  It's only recognizing 129 gigs out of the 300.  My xbox (v1.4) has a Xenium chip installed.  My F folder shows 129 gigs and my G folder shows 0.  I've edited the bios using EVtool and reformatted my F and G drive, but no luck.  In my evox and avalaunch setting menu G is enabled.  What else can I do or try, Im at the very end of my patience, I need help before I kill my xbox.  Any help would be greatly appreciated,  Thanks in advance. <

If you wanna use m8, you have to edit it with evotool to use lba48.  I suggest just using x2 4983.06 and just have a big f:, anything over 300gigs needs a g: (new x2 bioses require editing, 4983 doesn't for lba48). <
