$300 Lost Modding

Hey guys,
I guess Ive come here as a last hope. My friends and I have all saved to buy a child with cancer a modded xbox, we went out and bought the xbox, hard drive, and chip.

The xbox is a 1.6, and we bought the solderless S.P. ICE....Had some trouble with getting all the d0 point at first, something popped out, and smoked with a bit of a burning smell while trying to move the d0's to get them to light up. (UPDATE: forgot to mention that we also lost some rivets also)

The adapter still worked, and we have been able to get all d0 points to light up.

We then added the Xenium chip and flicked the switch to match the black maker. The Chip Lights up Green.. (don't know if the green light on the chip is good or bad?)

We were able to turn on the xbox as both the xbox light and xenium light are both green. Xbox turns on with the Splash Screen. (AKA OS 2.0.1) We partioned all drives, ftp'd it for files, but when we attempt to load the dash it shut off and then powers back on to the dash...

It will not read burnt dvd's (slayers) or even real xbox games?


Any Ideas?

Specifically, flash a 1.6 compatible bios. Also, you may want to pull the motherboard and see if you can find those rivets.. loose metal pieces in an xbox... isn't a great idea wink.gif <

Thanks for the quick reply, Id love to have this running tonight....

Where do I get 1.6 bios files and how do i go about flashing, Im guessing im going to have to ftp it?

AppleGuru, do you have aol? or can I call you? I would of course paypal you for your time?? Dont worry if you feel uncomfortable about that, lol <

i lost 2 xbox's when they cost $299 a piece because i was trying to solder a 29 wire modchip, and i was too drunk on cambodian breast milk. <
