Difference In V1.6 And V.1.6b Install
« on: December 07, 2004, 12:13:00 PM »

Ok, so I'm relatively new to the XBox scene and I'm going to mod my box w/ a Xenium Ice chip.  One vender sells a "1.6 Rebuild Board" for $6.99 along with the chip.  My Kernel is 5838 so I know it is 1.6 but I do not know how to tell if it is 1.6b or not.  Week/year is 33/04 but I haven't found a chart that goes that new yet.

So my question is: if I'm going to buy the chip from a differnet vendor and I don't know which version I have yet, is there anything else I need to buy and if so, what?  I'm fine w/ doing all the saudering and working w/ chips and stuff.

Maybe this is a stupid question...if so just slap me.

Thanks

The v1.6 and the v1.6b are exactly the same except for memory brand and some cable  colors...

Ok, that makes sense then.  I take it I don't need anything extra for the Xenium install then...
