"g:" Partition?
« on: January 21, 2004, 11:09:00 AM »

In the process of installing a new HD (Samsung 80gb) and ran HD Preparer to prep it all up.

Boot off my Evox disc, all goes great.

FTP into my xbox to restore the stuff I backup off of the original drive, and read the tutorial in my hands that says "run raw command Format...blah blah" to format each of my 6 partitions.

Now that is where I'm stumped, as I see C,D,E,F,G,X,Y,Z... C,D,E and X,Y,Z amount to the 6 partitions in question, D is my DVD drive, so that makes sense.

But what in the world is this G partition I'm seeing, and what the heck am I to do with it?!

L'il help? :P

G is for anything past 137gb

so if you had a 160gb drive in there, your F drive would make use up to 137gb, then you'll have like 10+ gb left on G: to use for whatever u want it to store
