I don't want to start anything, but when you have a little "m" it means micro. When you have a big "M" it means mega. When you have a small "b" it means bit. When you have a big "B" it means Byte.

MB = Megabyte
Mb = Megabit
mB = Microbit (never used)
mB = Microbyte (never used)

Just need to clear somethings up. For more info check this. No more talk of this EVER!!!

This just in: the center of the earth is Australia! Scientists have discovered that the entire world spins around the axis generated by the most worthless country on earth.  Expect to see a transition from Grenwich Mean Time to Kangaroo Mean Time within the next six months.

Agreed.  Name says it all!

well considering the smallest unit of data is a bit, which as you all know is an eigth of a byte.  How the hell could a micro or milli byte exist?????????????????????

On the big chance of being flamed here for either not finding the information in previous posts or for just asking an utterly stupid question I have decided to ask anyway.

Is it theoretically possible to add network support to emulator games (ie snes, genisis, n64 etc.......).  I mean could use some kind of tunneling software which instead recognized other xbox's as controllers not machines.

Then you could have one xbox be a host and the others acting like controllers, the traffic should be rather low and mario kart 64 online would own.

As I previously stated this might be a stupid or repetitive question to you guys and as I am into applications programming (the boring stuff) not games wasn't too sure of the ramifications involved in such an idea.

Great idea, but I'm not really sure of the feasibility.  I don't program anything yet, but I would really like to see something like that, maybe incorporated into XBconnect or something?  Maybe (yea right) if someone REALLY was a genius at programming they could set up an Xbox as a "master", with another on the network as a "slave", and somehow combined the processing power to play those really tough games!  I am positive that will never happen, though, but it seems like a good idea.  BTW, they already have something like that, called Kalierra or something.  I don't feel like looking around for it, but I know some emulators for PC support it.

biggrin.gif .. Incidentally, Norway is top, so I guess the ideal choice is the weather.  Do you like it warm or cold?  wink.gif

I'm guessing and willing to bet that those flaming Australia aren't from Norway?  In which case  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  You WISH you had it this good MATE!...

back on topic..

Kaillera support is something that people are attempting to add to PC N64 emus.  It would be a bit different for XBOX, as the emulator itself would also need added network support.  I guess in theory it could also be configured to work with a PC N64 emulator (if done in the right way).  It's entirely possible.  For major constraint would be if adding a network layer would use up more precious ram resources  anddddd I'm not sure just how popular demand is for this anyway..

For other systems, SNES, Genesis, etc... ie. those without memory worries, it's also entirely possible and just depends on the porter/author, having the desire and know-how to succesfully implent it smile.gif

I've expressed my opinions on the subject before. In short, I don't think anything is coming out later today (just a little past midnight here, but I'm 6 hours ahead, I believe). I think the infamous 'computer crash' excuse will be used. If it comes out, hey, I'll apoligize, but as it stands on both a technological point (not to mention a gut feeling), it doesn't seem like it'll happen.
