Like last week I flashed my chip to the latest Xecuter2 bios, I later learned that it didn't work with v1.6.
I was told I needed a programmer to reflash the chip because it kept flashing red and green. I got the programmer today and I am having trouble reflashing my chip, and also a general bios question.
The question first:
What does it mean when it says the size of the bios? all bios.bin files I have seen are 256k....am I supposed to change the filesize or something?
and in terms of my programmer, I have it hooked up to the chip (I think) correctly, then hooked into usb (for power) and the parallel port.
Ive seen two tutorials on 2 different methods.
1 is to use xcable through a dos prompt. When I do this it either says SYNC=FF all over the place or it says "Unable to start driver!"
@ is to use x2mqnqger. When I use x2manager it cannot detect my chip.
Anyone with any ideas? Suggestions, links, answers, info, feedback, etc.....
