Well here it goes I am about to embark on my first mod and I just wanted to share the experience with the people at

On order:
Xbox 8MB Memory Card (for backing up game saves)
Xbox 1.6 Motherboard with LPC Rebuilt (I would recommend this for any newbie because soldering is no fun unless you are good at it or willing to destroy you xbox.
X3 CE (only the best mod chip)
Western Digital 80GB Hard Drive (Modder's go on BestBuy.com and get this drive currently only $29.99 after $60.00 mail-in rebate
http://www.xboxdrives.x-spec.com says it should lock on most Xbox's.)
In possession:
Xbox 1.6
SlaYer's Auto-Installer 2.6
X3 1.6+ BIOS (Newest release)
