1.6 Overscan
« on: January 02, 2005, 03:20:00 PM »

well finally got gentoox on the box its a 1.6. I have the desktop up and viewable but its so big I cant see everything on the TV to use it very well. the settings are at 640x480 already.

Is there a way to fix this yet?? or do I need to install another version of gentoox or another distro..

I have gentoox home the latest downloadable one from the site.

Right now, I believe the only way to fix the overscan on 1.6's is if you're running them with a HDTV and you set xbvset to 480p (you'll need to run magic to receive this update). Otherwise, the only way to decrease it is to set your TV's aspect ratio to 16:9, that helped decrease the amount of the screen cut off.
