Hiya,

For reasons I cant be arsed to explain, I want to be able to get on xbox live with a backed up game (yes i know the box will be banned)

With my chip on for some reason, I cant connect with either the latest X2 or M8, but with the chip disabled it works fine (yes again Ihave disabled Live blocking in X2)

So I thought I would softmod the box and do it that way,

however Nkpatcher stops live communication.

Is there anyway to disable this feature ?

If not, will running PBL from the softmod to load a diffrent bios fix it ?

launch pbl (metoo) without a bios that doesn't support live blocking (perhaps a really old bios) then log onto live.

strange idea though blink.gif

@Arius as mentioned by Olipro, there is information in the forum about recompiling nkpatcher, there are a couple of GUIs for selecting, changing options and building a new one. You can change options like where to find the dashboard, the name you want, if you want F + G support, live blocking, etc. Is easy, give it a try.

for the long term a recompiled nkpatcher would be better.

but if he just wants to ban himself from LIVE (though why???????????) then launching a non-LIVE blocking bios would be a quick solution.

biggrin.gif

the Xbox is going to my brother, my brother has a habit of abusing things that he shouldnt, and he knows my details for my live account.

He also cheats a lot with games, I was just going to leave it blocked via the bios, but i figured he may get around that after some reading.

He wont be bothered to install a new eeprom and hdd though.

Why not just edit out bannable details from the eeprom then?

Be aware that M$ flag the gamertag re. box bans too (plus potentially terminate the account re. playing backups on XBL)!

personally, I'd be inclined to flash the EEPROM with a serial number of 000000000 (and so forth) so that the servers won't allow him on.

alternatively, boot the M$ dashboard and simply delete the account from the Xbox...
