Adding Another Fan

Im planning on putting in a 120 GB HD to my Xbox, but I hear that adding another fan is very important if I am to do this.  does it matter if it's external or internal?  Are there benefits or cons to each one?  

The only external one I can find is at divineo.com

Any input or experiences are appreciated.
