Mod Chip Troubles :(
« on: June 28, 2005, 12:27:00 PM »

yesterday, i turned on the xbox (with the chip enabled), only to have a red and green blinking light.
this usually means hardware (bios) troubles, right?
i tried flashing the bios again using the xbit program (i have the old xbit by the way, not 1.5 ), but whenever i tried "formatting" the chip, the program just locks up!. it says "erasing blocks" and when it gets to about 3, it just freezes for ever.
i tried this on 2 computers, same thing.

any ideas?
im thinking maybe a wire came loose on the chip, although i cant tell from looking (weve been renovating lately, which required alot of moving of the xbox
