Not Booting Backups Anymore ?
« on: April 03, 2005, 02:20:00 PM »

Ok heres how it happend:
my xbox with the DMS X-bit chip has been working since Jan 2004, but
in the last couple of weels it stopped booting my backups, it would go to load
them then just hang on a kinda of black/grey screen. i trined installing the
xbox games to the harddrive and it did the same thing.. mmmm ok i thought, no
big deal just left it, but then it started doing it with appz, like XBMC wouldnt load just hang.

So i ran the xbox to my pc hooked the usb cable up wiped the modchip.
Formatted the modchip to layout 4 and installed the following Bios:
M8plus.bin

I then got my hands on: Slayers Evox Auto-Installer v2.6Final.iso
and i formatted the xbox and installed Xbox dash with Evox dash on drive C:
with all appz and programs under F:/

it seems to now load appz ok, but still it will not read my game backups, it picks
them up as games but still just hangs on black screen.

any suggestions? <

Try clearing the cache  - delete the contents of E:\cache\, X:\, Y:\, and Z:\ <
