how do you guys know if you have a xbox version 1.5 or 1.4.. i am curious. i have read the tutorial but still uncertain. mine is made may 2003. so can anyone tell me what version i am running on.

You can't tell just from mfg. date as many are refurbished. You will need to open your box and go through this : http://xbox-scene.com/versions.php
