Today i >FINALLY< recived my x-elixis sample(delay due to christmas/newyear break, i recided an xelixis 3D btw. chek the site at www.x-elixis.com.) aight so lets get on with the review
(sorry the pics are so crappy, im workin on gettin a better cam and updating the pics)
SHIPPING:
came in a WELL packaged envolope with bubble wrapping. the mod it self was taped onto a pice of hard cardbord. In other words, it was secure and probally wont be damaged in the shippin process.

PIC 1PIC 2CONTENT:
what i recided was JUST the mod chip it self. no instructions. although instruction are not needed for a guy at my level, but a newbie mite want em. Even a note saying check www.x-elixis.com for instructions would have been good. BUT considering i am testing this and NOT buying it, it seemed ok.
MODCHIP: (quality etc.)
the modchip is actually VERRY flexiable , and that is GOOD. i found tat i ended up lookin unger to check if my points were conected. I actully took my soldering iron and pressed it on the plastic to see, and guess what, i timed it for 60 seconds, and all i got was a LITTLE plastic melting and nothin really happeneing.

PIC 3PIC 4INSTALATION:
TIME Installing: 5 mins
TOTAL time: 10 mins
total time included me opening my case, goin on the net and lookin up instructions and truble shooting.
The instalation was as easy as promised. I HAVE NEVER INSTALLED A MODCHIP B4.( i DO have SOLDER practice tho, with circuits and such) but i found it REALLY ez, all i did was. put my chip on the LPC area. tuch my iron there for 1-1.5 seconds and done....BUT i did have truble on one point. and thats this point:
(IMG:

the point is the bottom right most.(one right above the sideways "2") in this pic u can see that it had solder. but in real life(my 1.0) xbox it did not, while the rest of the points did. Well i dident knw that when i slapped this guy on it, and obiously it wouldent stick. so i looked under(by turning the modchip, this is where flexability comes in) and i wus able to bend it enuf that i could solder a wire in that hole(EZ AS HELL) and solder the wire to the modchip. (this step could be avoided by dropping a ball of solder in that hole b4 puttin in the modchip. aight. NEXT
I used
this site to figure out how to do the alternative D0 point with a switch, (EXTREMELY EZ AND SIMPLE)
PIC 5DONE.
end result. workin w/o a hitch, amazin modchip, actually uses the flex-a-bility
SCORE:
4/5
Pros:
EZ to use(BIGGEST PRO)
flexable
good idea,
EXTREMELY FRIENDLY SERIVE
and good shippin
Cons:
Price
Nasis-x tellin every one its "3d"
Over all: good modchip, definately recomended to any one, bringing down the price a lil would give this modchip a 4.9999999/5 and including a instruction manual, or pics would give it a 5.
(again im reallysorry the pics are so crappy, im workin on gettin a better cam and updating the pics)
Thx every one for reading. pls tell me wut u think of the review.
