Red/green Flashing, "service Error"
« on: August 02, 2002, 01:25:00 AM »

After 2 months of no hassles, im suddenly getting a red/green flashing problem and then the dreaded "Your Xbox needs servicing" message. The thing still plays originals fine, but backups or running evoX from harddrive are a no-go.

have solder points come loose!?

I haven't ran into it yet, but I've read similar posts where the clock was wrong?  Maybe give that a try...

Well it was wire 2 that was causing the problem (disconnected).

However, now it wont read ANY discs whatsoever. It just keep booting me back to the evoX menu after scannining the disc for a few seconds. Backups or originals, it wont have a bar of it. All connections seemed secure and fine upon inspection. I can run games from the harddrive fine.

And the strangest thing is it reads an EvoX boot disc fine!

Any ideas now?

edit: i have already managed to boot to the original dash and set the clock. didn't help sad.gif
