You need to change static ip to yes, and set it up manually.

Try this:
Setup Network - Yes
Use Static IP - Yes
I.P - 192.168.0.3
Subnetmask - 255.255.255.0
DefaultGateway - 192.168.0.1
DNS - Blank
DNS - Blank
Setup Delay - 0
Skip Setup if No Link - No

FTP is enabled.

And make sure your NIC settings look like this:
Use the following IP address:
IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: Blank
Use the following DNS server addresses:
Preferred DNS Server: Blank
Alternate DNS Server: Blank

no worries.

Check your ip on your computer.

Now change your submet and Gateway in evox to match that of the NIC yor box is connected to on your PC.
Then take your ip of your PC, add 1 to the last digit, entewr that into evox.
Save and reboot.
and that should do it.

first thing you want to do before doing a static ip is make sure that it has a link, otherwise there's no point.  assigning an ip to the interface isn't going to make the link go up, it should be up regardless of ip status.

you might not have a crossover cable, or, i would recommend setting your computer's nic to auto detect, if that doesn't work, try 100/full.

So when you bought a new crossover it then worked. That's strange, do you know what was wrong with your other one ?

It's probably not a crossover cable.  You can find out for sure with a multimeter.

What's that sheliak ?

I am gonna get another crossover cable today to see if I can then connect with Flash FXP. If that don't work what would you do mate ? This is getting annoying now lol.

Would be extremely pleased if I can get this working. Thanks everyone.

multimeter reads voltages, mainly to check for power sources or ground outs. it doesn't sound like you have a crossover cable to me, sometimes those MS ones don't work too well going from computer to xbox, if that's what you have.
