What Can A Modchip Do?

huh.gif so my big question is what is the coolest thing u can do with a modchip (i know u can back up games wink.gif )

Well simply put: Yes. Some have some extra features for Hard drive preperation/Bios storage and other misc things...But yes, all of em do the same thing.

so people make there own progams? if so do they just release it to the public? also why would u want to make a program form xbox? what it the coolest thing u can do with a program? can u cheat online? if some can list some cool things u can do with a program that would be great biggrin.gif

like i said, im new with xbox modchips, so sorry if my qestion are dumb

Some people make their own program and share it with the public. Here some of the coolest thing u can do with a program is load games from the Hard drive. Unlike the PS2 every games can run from the hard drive and you can use any ATA hard drive. Some hard drive will lock some can't. If you have a emulators you can load roms for SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, some arcade games, etc. You can put different pictures for your dashboard. They also dvd2xbox, a region free dvd player, and XBMC that will play divx/xvid files from the hard drive. You can't cheat online because you can't go online with a modchip on.

Well there are so many programs for the Xbox..some of the MUST HAVES are:
Xbox Media Center (AKA XBMC)
DVD2Xbox
Emulators (One for every system just about...)
Xboxhdm (Hard drive tool)

PS. The PS2 can load games froma  hard drive just as the Xbox can but it requires a hard drive, BB adapter and a piece of software called HD Loader or HD Advanced.

But not all PS2 games can play from the hard drive.

are theses all freeware and can i download them form this site? after i get theses programs do i burn them on normal cds (cdr) then play them on the xbox? how do u get the games on your HDD?

U CANNOT RECIEVE ANY OF THOSE FILES FROM HERE, THEY ARE ILLEGAL!!!!!!
U have to get them from the Usual places
Stuff that will get Posts Deleted, Edited, Censored and/or Locked:
* Direct Links to XBOX Software (this includes Retail Games, Backups, Bios's, and MS XDK produced Homebrew Software)
NOTE: This includes direct links to .torrent files, OR sites that serve as a "tracker" for .torrent files.
* Links to sites that sell 'backups'
* Requests or offers for XBOX Software (see above)
* Requests or Offers for PC, MAC Commercial software (including OS, NON-Shareware/Freeware Utils, etc)
* Requests or Offers for any type of Crack/Patch/Serial # for any of the above.
* Requests or Offers for Game Console Roms (including, but not limited to XBOX, PSX, PS2, GameCube, All GameBoy, Nintendo, SNES, All Sega, ARCADE, etc.)

ok i can see how downloading theses programs can be ILLEGAL. but why can i ask how to get theses programs on my HDD (im just asking because i do know)
