just try different media.  some works and some doesn't.  i had to go through about 4 discs before i found some that work with my tommy

when you load a retail game does the dirty disk error come on still?

Also, what about older games that you have that have been working...are they still working.  If so, then it is a media or a backup problem and not the drive.

dry.gif ....My drive crashed on FABLE as well, however...it won't play anything now. Where's the best place to pick up a new DVD drive? Im in DC, I want a new one tonight...Best Buy?Circuit City or Comp USA? Thanks fellas

I have the same prob with Mortal Kombat Deception.  Plays a little while then error.  As soon as I go to the store I will get another DVD drive cleaner.  Maybe you guys should try that.
