Pc Harddrive In Xbox
« on: February 16, 2004, 05:54:00 AM »

I want to put my harddrive that I have in my PC into my xbox, but I'm not sure if I have to make any changes to the drive before I put it into my xbox or not....like reformating it or something.  I tried looking in the tutorials and couldn't find anything on pc to xbox hd...just installing new ones that haven't been used....not unless I overlooked it somehow.  Would really appreciate any help.

Just delete the partition and format the harddrive in dos then use either evox or slayers to format the harddrive with xbox partitions.. Go Here

Format in dos.....how do you do that??  Or is it like deleting the partition and then reformating without installing an OS?  And also another quick question on using evox 3935 to format the drive on xbox.....

Where do I put this.....

Section "Install Menu"
{
Item "Install New drive",@210
Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash
Item "Reboot",ID_Quick_Reboot
Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off
}

[Action_10]
Info "Install HDD - Xbox-Scene"
Warning "This will format all drives"
Warning "Make sure you have a backup of C & E"
Progress "Formatting drives"

ConfigSector "\backup\disk.bin"
Format c:
Format e:
Format f:
Format x:
Format y:
Format z:

In this....

#   Item "Power Cycle",ID_Full_Reboot
   Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off

   {
      Item "Settings",ID_Settings
      Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
      Item "Backup",ID_Backup
      Item "Skins",ID_Skins
   }
   Section  "Launch Menu"
   {
      Section "Games"
      {
         AutoAddItem "e:\games\"
         AutoAddItem "f:\games\"

      }
      Section "Apps"
      {
         AutoAddItem "e:\apps\"
         AutoAddItem "f:\apps\"

That sounds right, all you have to do is delete the partitions then go into dos and type format c (or whatever the drive is).

I would just use slayers, then you dont have to mess with the config file.  You can easily delete all the apps that you dont want later.
