How Can I Plug In A Keyboard And Mouse In My Xbox?

Just an FYI, for those that haven't figured it out yet, a USB Keyboard does work in other applications other than just Linux like UnleashX and XBOX2XBOX FTP (makes it much easier to input IP Addresses) just to name two.

Would be cool to assign macros to the Fn keys... that could be potentially usefull.

Ps, I use a rollup rubber USB keyboard so it's mobile and not always in the way. Still looking for a really nice mini keyboard like those of the Pocket PCs and Palms.

Simple! You make a xbox->pcUSB connector (http://xbox-linux.so...d=2002220061734)

Then you connect the USB Keyboard or USB Mouse to the xbox and boot up linux, and use its full functionality! You can also use the keyboard with the latest EvolutionX, it just has limited support

About the USB adapter cables from Lik-Sang:

They are now going for ~$13USD apiece.
But if you get together an order with some friends, they go down
to ~$4USD apiece for 5 or more.

You can also get a set of two USB adapter plugs from OzXChip for
$10AUD (~$6USD).

Just to let you know, you can get one from M$ for FREE,  no less.

Well, all except for the $6.95 for shipping.  However, it's "only" for use with PSO, and "NOTHING ELSE".  Now be good, and follow the rules.  Mm'kay?

Go here to see.

And it's only available from until December 2004, so hurry...kinda.

I got one of these from M$ and It works perfectly with my keyboard,my keyboard is a IVM media accessPro with usb ports on the side, and when I run linux i hook the mouse up to the keyboard, and the keyboard up to the M$ usb adapter in the controller.  Work's great.

Has anyone from Canada ordered the USB adaptor from MS?  I went to the web page and noticed that for Canadian orders they will ship via UPS.  My experience with UPS in the past is that they will charge a "brokerage fee" of around $30 even if you don't have to pay duties when importing stuff from the U.S.

That puts the USB adaptor at around $40.  That's getting on the expensive and pretty far from the "free" suggested by MSFT.

Anyone from Canada ordered this?  Did they get charged anything extra by UPS?

Thanks,
