Lost Solder Point In 1.1 Tsop Flashing Project
« on: October 03, 2012, 05:25:00 PM »

This is a photo from a board I had been working on a couple years ago. I had given up and soft modded it because I could not get the solder to stick for the life of me, and I eventually lost my solder point all together.

Is there a way to relocate my solder point? Or can I just solder directly to the piece to the left of where my solder point should be?

Please advice, SoftMOD sucks! :/

There are alternate points you can use, but if you couldn't manage with the main points, then be forewarned that these points are harder and need to be bridged with thin wires.

Not sure what happened here, it had been a while. Usually it's a synch.

EDIT: Wow, you are right, I don't even want to mess with the alternative! Very complex, beyond my skill level anyhow, thankx!

Yeah, I've never needed to attempt the alternate points myself, but I've done similar work on other things, and although it's not impossible to do, you definitely need the right skills and the right equipment/materials.
