Still Possible To Switch Video Modes After Tsop Flash?
« on: December 20, 2006, 09:14:00 AM »

if you know the version of your xbox your set, 1.0 and 1.1 mobos need a 1 mb bios for flashing, and 1.2-1.5 mobos need a 256kb mobo, but if you know about that your set, because you can still go to your ms dash even after flashing the tsop

best bios to use would be the x2 4893 bios, it is very stable, I havent tried the x2 5035 yet but the 4893 is very good,

I think he meant X2 4983, but I use X2 4981 cause it can be configured with XBtool 1.0.23a.  X2 4983 is encrypted and cannot be edited/configured with any XBtool.

The 5035 is nice cause you can edit more colors and stuff while xbox boots, but takes much longer to boot cause it reads a INI file from the HDD and has to wait for the HDD to spin up to speed.  While the 4981/4983 just boots normally from memory and does not have to wait for the HDD to spin up.
