Temporarly Swapping Modchip
« on: February 03, 2020, 01:18:00 PM »

i have one Xenuim ICE chip installed in one Xbox- running great- and two other with different problems.  One xbox has a code error 21 and 16, the other has a code 5.  They are both softmods.  the way I wanted to do this, is temporarly put my Xenuim chip in these two xboxs to fix the probelm and still be able to switch back to the original xbox and put the chip back in it.  Will I have any problems doing this?  I dont want to risk my good working xbox cause then I'll be sunk.  Can someone pls shed some light on this or point me in the right direction, thanks

You are going to have to softmod the boxes, so that they will work after you take out the Xenium.  The only versions you can softmod are (v1.0 - v1.5).  This if easy if they solderless installs but soldered are fine also.

0. Goto xbins tutorials and download 'TSOP flash solder points'.  Short writelines on mobo.
1. Install the modchip with preferred method.

2. Download dashboard exploit such as 'UDE2'.  FTP into xbox and transfer dashboard exploit to startup folder.

3. Remove chip and bootup modded xbox.

You may need help with soldering.  The other steps are easy on any Windows PC.
