Dont use the evox bios first of all.  Second, you prob are using an outdated bios.  Reflash it with x2 4983.06 or x2 5035.  If you cant even turn it on without it fragging, then the adapter is not alligned and the best bet is to solder it.

I've used the M8 and M8plus bios and they've both never given me any problems.  So if you get ahold of one of those two, assuming you don't have a 1.6 xbox, in which case you'd want the m8_16 or m8plus_16 bios.. Really don't see why they would give you a problem.
