Xbox Startup Problem
« on: January 06, 2005, 09:08:00 AM »

hey i'm modding a v 1.5 xbox and was using the xenium ice solderless adapter...the board was covered with that green stuff so i cleaned it off of the DO hole but the wire wouldn't go in very tight....it would work sometimes but not others....so a friend of mine was going to put a little solder on it to hold it in place but couldn't get the solder to stick. The xbox wouldn't even boot to xenium sometimes like previously so i removed the modchip, and solderless adapter, i think it should now just run like a stock xbox correct? But when i turn it on it does the frag 3 times then turn off bull shit. Any idea how to get this fixed, please get back to me on this.

Sounds like you may have damaged the mother board when trying to clean it.  I would check all the traces around the area you were working.

You need two extra connections for a v1.5

Ground and v3.3, I believe.
