it does not matter if i power up with the power button or the eject button, both bring me to the MS Dash. The LED on the Xenium chip is flashes bright red when I first turn it on and then goes steadies at a steady but softer red.

Originally I had the LFrame soldered from an LFrame point on the board to the DO pad atop the chip, no ground. I Just took that wire off and used the blue and black wire with white connector that came with the chip, soldered blue to the LFrame point and the black to one of the metal screw holes for ground.

Now the eject button LED is flashing green/red, nothing on the screen and a bright red LED on the chip itself.

my two biggest questions to other installers are:

should i use the blue and black wire with white connector that came with the chip, or just solder my own D0 connector wire.

Second do I need a ground wire? If yes and if answer to question one was not to use provided connector, where should I solder the ground wire on the chip?

soulseller: Looks like your soldering is no good.  Check it all over with a multimeter.

joker55: Firstly, it's not nice to hijack other people's threads with different problems.  Second, your question doesn't belong in this forum.... as it's not a problem with the chip. Try asking in the appropriate forums.
