You can't do it from a 1.6 xbox, what version do you have?

Try unlocking your HD, then do the Recovery mode. Or if you can, put the HD version of the 2.0.1 update in E/, then try it again. After you update it, just lock your HD back.

You've tried letting it sit for a bit, right? FRAGging is what it's supposed to be doing when it's reading the CD... After a bit the chip's LEDs should cycle and then it'll shut off (Or it should).

But assuming that you have tried letting it sit for a bit.. try the HDD update method as others have said

What version box do you have. Have you tried burning recovery.bin by itself to a cdrw that you know already that works? Thats what I ended up haveing to do after the hard drive way wouldnt work.

What OS is your Xenium currently running?

If its not running 2.0.something then you can't use FTP.

Unless you have a dashboard setup with FTP.

So use either the HD or CD method to upgrade your Xenium.

hi, i have a v1.6 set. i tried to update the xenium OS 2.0 to the V2.01 but unsuccessful. can anyone help?

i think alot of people are having problems updating the os to 2.01. i have many problems like this too. some of my xboxes will update and some won't. i have an xbox on the 2.0.0 version and it won't update to 2.0.1. i say wait for the next version because the 2.0.0 works fine right now. my xbox used to have shut off problems now it has no problems but it has problems updating the os. i think this problems varies from xbox to xbox. never had problems with 1.6's, just 1.0's

Never could get the updates to work from the hd or the actual iso update. Had do just burn the recovery.bin (from the hd installation) to a cdrw (iso) and it always worked.
