Okay, I figured how how to install the bios....I flashed the bios with X24983.  It worked fine at first but now whenever I turn on my xbox it goes to the regular dashboard. The orginal.  The OS doesn't even show up anymore.  Any ideas?

Check you chip and make sure its alligned right. Also check the d0. You didnt say if you had solderless or what so thats what im guessing.

I've tried pressing the eject button and holding the eject button....no success

Ahh, another testament to how bad the solderless adapters are.  Your chip became misaligned, you must open it up, take off the adapter and realign it.  Like I always say, if you have to ever open your xbox after installing a chip you might as well solder it.

I'm 100% sure its the alignment.  If you check for continuity on the pins against the lpc and the d0 to the wire you will see what points are not aligned.

If the chip is red, then it's most likey d0 that's the problem. It needs to make good contact. You can even solder just d0 if you like...

thanks for the input. my computer has been down for a few days but when i pressed down on the chip it did bootup the way i expected it to.  what do you guys suggest i do about the weight issue?
