I just had the same problem. No idea what caused it, but I had the prerelease os.
I was booting a cd and screen went black then off.
Next power on I got the same lights. Like xmas time on my box.
Are you able to boot with chip off?
Ie. will it work like an unmodded xbox with the chip off?

I was told to check solder on lpc, and check do.

I resoldered and made sure the chip was making good contact. the xenium recovery screen came on on next boot. I went to xbins to get the xenium os burned iso and it recovered.. set clock and loaded M8.

What does full solder mean?
Is it quick soldered.?(chip on the mobo)
Is it a header pin install?(chip on pins)

if it turns on and off...then it allso could be a sign that no bios ....! so just switch ur chip and recover mode and try  :  P

I got the exact same problem with ya! my xbox came preinstalled with modchip (i dunno what brand), and i installed Evox into my Xbox and everything went well for few months...only last week, when i tried to boot it, no screen on TV but christmas light on my Xbox, with little irritating HDD sound.

ya what do u mean by D0? maybe i will open up my xbox later to check the soldering, will update later...chiou...

UPDATE: ok i opened up my xbox and found my D0 point. it looks intact with the mobo so i just touch it gently to make sure it has firm contacts, and guess wat!!! IT CAME OFF!! OMG OMG OMG!!! since i don have any soldering, so i just reassemble my XBOX and boot it, and know wat, it's the same unbootable problems, no screen and flashing yellow,green then flashing red/green...

conclusion: most probably the D0 has loosened. Last week, i have to bang, shake, hit my Xbox to get it work. The bangings and hittings very likely to get the contact btwn D0 and the cable. Now, even bangings and hitting wont work anymore.

radioboy, try check ur D0 point and resolder it, i dont have solder kit so it's the end for me. darn D0 is so small!

The alt d0 isnt small at all, its friggen huge.  Solder the d0 wire to that and you should be fine.

Got the XENIUM ICE replaced with a new one. With the Prerelease BIOS on it about 2 weeks back.

Machine has M8 Bios running on it, with Avalaunch as the boot menu. Last thing i done was set the M8 bios as the default BIOS to boot when the XBOX is turned on.

Went to turn on the XBOX last night and doing exactly the same thing as before. flashing red/green/red/green, and like its power surging.

Whats the go with this?
