The topic says it all guys Ive got a locked 160 GB samsung that is going to be a paperweight.

Um, you can lock and unlock the hd from the os, not really sure if thats the info you need your question is too vague.

For everyone else:
It appears OS2 Pre-release on the Xenium Ice chips does set the master password of the drive to
'TEAMASSEMBLY'. I successfully used this and atapwd (in dos) to unlock and disable the lock on a HDD.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh config magic sets that password, maybe xenium too but teamassembly is the ppl who made configmagic.

Does that mean that ANY drive locked with XOS2 can be unlocked using that password on any PC?

He may have locked it with configmagic on top of the xenium os.  I don't know why ozxodus would use another group's name as its password.

this user had no idea of where to find config magic so it was locked using the OS2 menu... also Evox now assigns TEAMASSEMBLY as the master password when it locks drives as well. It's not a bad thing to know which can save people lots of trouble.

it was not a moronic thing to do, it happens (quite frequently actually). We were just lucky it assigned a master password hence why I posted the info for others.
