Newbie Needs Advice

hello all,
            I'm going to be purchasing a XBOX in the next couple days, and I assume
It'll be a v1.5, buying from best buy. I've pre-ordered the Xenium chip, and was wondering if the chameleon solderless adapter will work on this v1.5 xbox, and if there's anything special I need to do? Any help, pointers would be appreciated.
