got the dvd drive working. took the belt from a spare the was the same.

tried unplugging wires from the front and used factory power but did nothing. do u think the chip bios is gone.

you have a 1.6 xbox if it had the +5v wire.
pull the mother board out and check the lpc rebuild points are all still good. also check the d0 point.
if it is solderless adapter then check all those stupid little legs are in the correct holes..

It sounds like a problem around the lpc (chip is not connected properly to the lpc, or the lpc rebuild has failed)
also did you solder the +5v to the correct leg of the transistor.
