$#!t Piss... Spiderchip Gurus?
« on: February 19, 2006, 09:07:00 PM »

Hey, it's gotta be possible...

How can I re-flash a spiderchip (v1.0) if I don't have the external switch... long story...

Can I do it by crossing a trace somewhere? I can solder, but have no idea where to start as far as this goes... not really a Spidey-Kinda-Guy, just ran by this for free flashed it, then realized I had no lba48...damn... so I patched a M8, edited my evox, tried to flash and I get "unknown flash" I'm sure I just need to write enable it...

Anyone?
Thanks all!

You don't need the external swicth to flash the chip. without the switch the chip is always on.
you need to add the correct flash ID to evox ini to flash the chip

AID 3 has a BIOS add-on pack (just update the AID disc with the BIOS pack prior to burning to disc).

You'll find the BIOS flashing section under TOOLS on the disc.

Just boot AID 3 in your xbox, select the appropriate BIOS and reflash.

I also have an external switch in my garage I've never used (if you need one).
