ok 1st chip mod here. i just ordered a smartx v2 with the cd and all the stuff. the most expensive 1.
any way, do i have to install a 3rd party software such as dvd2xbox to copy my xbox games to the hd?
and does it come with any emu's
i have all the software, just wondering wile im waiting.

Yes but http://slayer.xbox-scene.com is really good for newbs (don't mess around with it's flashing software). DVD2Xbox is good for backing up games but remember to upgrade your hard drive hehe stock is only 10GB.

ok
i got a wd 200 gb hd on order along with my chip. should be here in a day or 2 if the MLK J holiday dosnt delay my order.
i have a shit ton of apps and a buttload of bios stuff, including slayers, and acces to the irc.
i here alot about useing the update 3333.
do i realy need that, or should i just flash with a beter bios and load slayers?
