Go to the network settings under the SmartXX menus, you can select DHCP or set your own static IP. If you use DHCP, when you restart the Xbox, you should see it appear on the bottem right of the screen when it updates if you have a DHCP service running on your network (Main SmartXX menu: BIOS selection menu). Just write it down before you start ED. BTW- I hope you mean ftp client, ED is an ftp server you'll log into it.
