Hi All,

I've modded a couple of xboxes with DuoX 2 GS chips and both are working fine. I have an annoying problem where XBMC shows a G drive, when i dont have a G drive. Added a 40gb HDD to each and formatted them, no G drive on the 1.6, but a g drive on the 1.1. Can only be the bios? right?

I dont know what bios versions are on my duox2, quick way to find out?

So, finally, what i would like to know... I have 2 bios' downloaded, Xecuter2 5035 and EvoX M8+. Is there a preferred bios between those?

Also, as the chip has 2 banks, i thought i may be able to try both - However - i assume i wouldnt/couldnt boot my v1.1 with the 1.6 bios bank enabled so i could flash it? what would happen if i booted the 1.1 with the 1.6 bios?

if you have the duoX2 blue you should have xecuter 2 4981, and evoxM8 1.6.

 

a 1.6 bios will work for a while on a pre-1.6, but you will run into a random unreliability when executing code.

you can use it for a little while, but i'd suggest flashing over it if you don't have a 1.6 console.
