i have a friends version 1.0 xbox. i put in the x-chip, but when i turn on the xbox, sometimes it works fine,(through the flubber animation and then the xbox screen saying Xecuter2 instead of MS) sometimes it goes to the cromwell 1.1 bios screen, other times ill start it up then it looks like it frags, (but with out the green and red flashing lights) it starts up again by itself and the light for the x-chip goes off and it boots as if the chip isnt in.what causes this? is it the d0 or is it just that the adapter isnt aligned properly? (ive tried the paper trick numerous amounts of times.)

help would be greatly appreciated!
