I have an X-xhip with the standard cromwell bios- I dl the slayer evo auto installer version 2.5-it is an iso format-now im not sure what to do next i burned the entire installer and only the installer to a cd-r and im pretty sure i need to flash a new bios before i can install it, i know where to get it but i need to know what the exact file i need to flash using x-control is called or for that matter what the file i need to dl is called i want to get some form of evox bios because i have the dashboard (i think) please help little confused the usual place has a lot of different files

You want: EvoX Xchip BIOS v1.1.
The filename is very similar to that, I can't recall. It's somewhere in the BIOS section of course.
As far as Slayer's goes - you probably should get 2.6, it's newer. Also, you may have a hard (if not impossible) time reading that CD-R in your drive... if you read the helpfile that comes with Slayer's (2.6 anyway) it makes it really clear you should either use a CD-RW or DVD-R/DVD+R.
