X-bit Software/hardware
« on: June 28, 2005, 09:39:00 PM »

I bought X-Bit (newest) and It came with a wierd wire that I dont know what it is. I dont have a Pic but its a yellow wire that has 10 yellow wires and there is a part to it that has a red and black wire. What does it do?

 _

When I downloaded the x-bit xp software (1.5) and tried to connect it didnt do anything so I downloaded v1.0 and I got connected but I had alot of error pop-ups but I flashed evox and i verified it and It seemed to work. I get an error every time I click a button or it erases a block.

Can anyone help me with these things?

Thanks

The yellow wire is for 1.6 installation and taps 5V from the DVD power cable.

This board has a 15 minute no-edit setting, so if you need to make changes to a post, they need to be done before that time is up.

Some of the newer xboxs are 1.4s with filled LPC holes, but I think only a few batches of them were made before reverting to the 1.6s.
