if it boots up and shuts down, boots up shuts down, flashes red and the xbit chip has a green light in it,  you have the chip installed correctly.  Dont remove it.  You have a bad bios,  I loaded this piece of XXXX 1.5 xbit chip on a xbox 1.3 with 6 different bios and kept changing them and then the xbox boots up with a copy game,  it still say Ms down at the bottom, it boots to my other dash boards 1 oout of 6 bios workedd and do not remember  which one).  I  can not disable the chip (dms should be a shame of this piece of cXXp chip)  I would take a version 1.0 over the 1.5 chip anyday.  If you think you have your chip in correct, chances are the bios as I have now worked on 3 cxxp 1.5 xbit chips on xbox 1.0 1.1 and 1.3 with the same symtoms as above.  I hope this helps the rest of you remember try different bioses and remember it will not disable.
