Flashed But Can't Play Non Xbox Discs

I've got an 1.5xbit in a 1.6 xbox. i've flashed the chip with m8_16 but i can't play any discs other than original xbox discs. I don't know what to do now.

Did you enable the chip, did you select the right bank? Check for lose solder connections. Make sure your backups have the xbe named default.xbe

does the pink evox sign come up in the top left hand corner as the xbox is booting up? you did do the LPC rebuild ye? If this is all ok, then the problem probably is that you are burning your stuff onto disks that the xbox vd drive is being fussy about. Try with a different brand. Xbox drives other than the nu philips and the old samsung wont read cd-r.
